In case you didn't notice I am a golden retriever, I just turned seven years old and I'm WAY bigger than goldens are supposed to be. That just means there's more of me to love! Welcome to my webpage, It just got updated with new photos of me (09/25/04).
My mom (and the vet) said I need to get clipped if I was going to swim three or four times a day - which I've become accustomed to...I was never really drying out which increases my chances of getting HOT SPOTS!! I don't like hot spots and if I get one I couldn't swim for a while - so my long locks are gone, but it's cooler and it only takes me an hour to dry off! Here's my webcam - sometimes it's on, sometimes it's not :-)

Christmas is my favorite time of year! Here's our 2003 Christmas card. |
Opening presents makes a fellow tired! |

Is that for me? |

Here's a picture of me at the local reservoir - check out that foliage!! It was a rare warm October afternoon - 75 degrees and sunny in the middle of October? It was incredible! The perfect afternoon to wrap up the swim season. Click on the image or here for a larger photo. |

Sometimes it's fun just to dive for leaves - sort of like what you folks do with apples. There's a full sized image of this one too, just click it baby. |

Here I am being smiley :-) |

That's Shelby in the foreground - she's not a big fan of baths, but she helps me dive for carrots in the pool. |

Even Shelby takes a break once in a while - fetching tennis balls for an hour can really make you tired! |
I've been going for hikes at our local reservoir, half-way around the two mile trail is this beautiful little stream - here's me looking handsome. Click Here to see a larger picture - it's really a must see if you've got the time.

Here in the northeast we got a bunch of big snowstorms. Well over 100" of snow makes outdoor play...FUN!!! |
After the snow melted my mom found well over 30 tennis balls under the snow. I thought snow made keeping an eye on green tennis balls easier. Here I am keeping a close eye on this ball in case it decides to make a break. |
|

|
And the snow kept falling...this is about hour 40 (and inch 28) in the big storm of the year. |
Hey all you pups out there - always remember that looking pathetic is part of proper people-training. Without pouting you don't get as much stuff (stuff is good) - the occaisional whine doesn't hurt either. |

Last winter my mom bought me a house with a big fenced in back yard, lots of squirrels and birds, and a pool that I'm not allowed to swim in! Can you believe the nerve of her? Sheesh. |
This is me after the big snowstorm in April 2000. Snow rules! |

I liked college. Always people around - plenty of people to go for walks, suitemates with endless supplies of tennis balls...It was heavenly. |
This is me looking really handsome....Sorry girls, I'm neutered. |

I know that there's water in that there pool. I can smell it, heck I can even see it. I wanna swim!!!! |
This is me after a bath....I generally like to roll afterwards but mom decided that we'd play a long game of ball. Here I am doing my best impression of "Yoda" from Star Wars. Who knew floppy ears were so floppy? |

Here's me relaxing between fetches. The pictures below are of me as a yearling. I was cute then too, but age and maturity can't be overrated! |

I specialize in fetching (retrieving), rope pulling, peeling tennis balls, and most of all...SWIMMING! |
I hate it when I'm posed like this, it's humiliating...here I am almost a grown up, and I get shoved into a chair and told to stay! |

Where's my ball????? |
Did you just say "pee-pee"? or maybe she said "swimming".... |
|

OK, I've got my rubber duckie, you've got your sandals, this can only mean one thing....SWIMMING! |
When it's time for bed, I get very smooshie and cuddly...It's a rough life being a retriever puppy! |

I just got two little sisters! That's Monica on the left, someone said something about the toothpaste she managed to get on her fur, and some bad habits - that's why she got that name - and Grampa keeps calling me "Bill" - Why is that? Oh yeah, and Shelby on the right - my mom calls her "Nanook of the North". After her first vet check the day after they came home from the breeder, she was allowed to go outside and pee (I didn't know there was an option). Instead of peeing, Shelby jumped up on the biggest snowbank she could find got half way up and stuck there...I'm busy teaching them both bad habits. |
