Balloonfest Kickoff Evening
Friday June 4th ~ 7:00pm
This was an absolutely AMAZING experience. I stood on my deck and balloon after balloon floated over the neighborhood. In my awe I just kept focusing and snapping over and over. At some points just talking excitedly to myself. The balloon festival used to be an annual event here - it's been at least eight years since the last one and at that point I lived with my folks farther away from the launch site. This evening brought back fond memories of the Queeche Balloon show that I went to every year as a young child.

I vaguely remembered that there was a balloon festival going on this weekend. I wasn't at all thinking about it when I brought the puppy out for his morning duties. I looked up and saw a line of balloons, I ran for the camera!
